A Speaker System that Surpasses All Your Imagination
Do you guys know that I'm a Serious Audiophile Freak? I only go for the Best for everything with a good Value-For-Money Budget.
The Logitech Z-5500 (pronounced zee-fifty-five-hundred) is a Multimedia - Home surround sound speaker system with THX Multimedia Certification.
For so many years, until today, the Z-5500 has always been staying on top of all reviews. It has never fail us, The Critics. The Sound Quality is virtually flawless.
While there are many technical reviews on the internet about this speakers, let me just share my experience with it for the past few years.
I connect these hot babies on my Korg Triton Studio 88 via a High Quality Monster Optical Cable. Basically, when you're using Optical, the Decoder of the Speakers itself will decode the Digital Data into actual sound to be played at a maximum of 92khz 24bit. If you're connecting these hot babies to your computer with a newer sound cards which supports 192khz 24bit, you might want to connect it using a direct Green, Orange, Black analog cables rather than Digital. This means your sound card will do the decoding work before it's being played on these babies. My Korg Triton Studio 88 runs at 92khz 24bit, which is just perfect for these babies. The sound will blow you away, especially in a quiet environment.
Unfortunately, my Korg Triton Studio 88 and Logitech Z-5500 is placed in my living hall, right next to my Knight Piano. So it's rather noisy, with the noise from the main road nearby my house.
The quality of the sound from these speakers are Godlike. If you're using it as a home cinema, it's highly accurate, as good as the higher end Bose Systems. For Gamers, you're gonna kill your opponent before they even realize, because you can actually hear exactly where they are hiding. Perhaps their character farts. For Music Enthusiasts, your mp3 will suddenly sound Heavenly. If you're listening to high quality original CDs or Lossless files. Again you'll be blown away.
One weakness about using Optical Digital Connection is that when there's no signal, the speakers will not make a sound, but when you start playing something, there will be a slight delay of the signal to the speakers. Which is kinda annoying sometimes. Otherwise, it's perfect. Check out the link above!
It is SUPER COOL!!!!!!
Warmest Regards,
