Honestly, I don't have that many friends in my country Malaysia. Before I left to Massachusetts, I was a total nerd with thick round glasses, fugly hairstyle, pointy chin, total emo look. I have a few close friends who are very close, that's all.
However, In Massachusetts, I was a social animal with many awesome friends, especially from my team, UMASS TAEKWONDO. My birthdays were Dorm Parties that the state police had to come and carry a few drunk people back to the station, especially my 22nd birthday at the girls' dorm. I almost puked my intestines out from the fiery Bacardi 151 (75.5% alcohol) that Onisama gave me. Amy Koenig, Stefana, Yan Yan, Xia Lin, and many other great friends made a really nice Taekwondo style birthday cake for me. Also not to forget Chia Luen and Steve who brought me out for alligator's meat at Bub's BBQ. Kyu Cho and other Taekwondo people for bringing me to Go-Hyang for Sun-Do-Bu Chigae.
My 21st birthday was a DRUNK-GUYS-PEE-ON-THE-STREET-TAEKWONDO-STYLE mania. Good Times!!
Well, on the other hand, my birthdays in Malaysia consists a few of my closest friends, office colleagues, and my family. Meals at restaurants, an egg, a small birthday cake.
This year will be a bit special. Imma celebrating it with my Dearest.
